An operator who kept having to build the tools.
Carin spent fifteen years leading operations, customer success and strategy — for Fortune 100 clients and for startups still working out what they were. Then she went and ran a business of her own.
Hide & Scratch launched in 2020 and now sells cat enrichment products across Amazon, Walmart and direct-to-consumer, at seven figures a year. Running it meant owning the whole stack — supply chain, marketplaces, finance systems, customer experience, and every piece of software holding them together. Most of that software had to be built or wired up from scratch.
That is where this studio came from. The bookkeeping automation, the review pipelines, the reporting, the self-serve site editor — all of it was built to solve a real problem in a real business before any of it was offered to a client. It still works that way.

That is the half we own. Alongside it, Camalia has held long-running advisory engagements with other small businesses — one of them going back years, and none of them listed here. We don’t name clients who haven’t asked to be named, which is also why you won’t find a wall of logos anywhere on this site.
How we work
Small on purpose.
Camalia Group takes on a limited number of engagements at a time, and Carin leads every one of them personally — scoping the work, building it, and answering the phone afterwards. Specialists come in where a project genuinely needs one.
That is the whole model, and it is why the client list is short. You will not be handed to an account manager, and you will not find out halfway through that the person you met is not the person doing the work.
